The College of Engineering at the University of Karbala organized a training course on the use of the ANSYS program in designing and analyzing forces in the manufacture of artificial limbs and supports.
The course, which lasted for three days, aimed to introduce the crews of the Limb and Support Engineering Department to the basics of drawing and learning three-dimensional design using the (ANSYS) program for the purpose of helping researchers and engineers design the required geometric shapes, analyze them, and then manufacture them.
The course was attended by the teacher, Dr. Amer Matroud Omran, the teacher, Dr. Ahmed Qasim, and the assistant teacher, Hassanein Abd Aoun Hashem.
The course recommended providing various facilities to students and department staff and urging them to keep pace with developments in the field of engineering designs and to choose the appropriate materials for each prosthetic limb or support, as well as knowing the design mechanism for each prosthetic limb and support according to the needs of every student or researcher in the field of prosthetic limbs and supports.
