The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Justice signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation in the field of educational and training services and programs for inmates in correctional institutions.
This came during the first conference for educational programs in correctional institutions, where the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed in his speech, in the presence of the Ministers of Justice and Education and a number of representatives, officials and advisors, that cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Justice represents an important part of a positive context that indicates A joint commitment to meet the integration methodology and achieve development and national goals.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and its universities are committed humanely and professionally to providing all aspects of support and assistance in all areas needed by the Ministry of Justice in all its formations, especially with regard to scientific and academic expertise in the sector of teaching inmates, in addition to supporting, training and qualifying guidance and psychological and social counseling specialists, as well as providing opportunities Developing and supervising the implementation of joint programs.
For his part, the Minister of Justice, Dr. Khaled Shwani, said that the memorandum of cooperation between the two ministries will contribute to expanding educational and training programs in correctional departments and schools throughout Iraq, pointing out that continued cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through partner universities has contributed to the success of the project and the development of its educational contexts.
The conference included a valuable speech by the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri, as well as a presentation of the educational program in reformist departments and schools, while the President of the University of Information and Communications Technology, Dr. Abbas Al-Bakri, the President of Al-Ain University, Dr. Shafiq Shaker Al-Mawla, and a number of figures in the Ministries of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Justice who made a positive contribution were honored.
