The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed the master’s thesis entitled (Preparation and diagnosis of new nanomaterials and studying their efficiency in inhibiting the corrosion of carbon steel), submitted by student Ali Hassan Wadaa.

The study aimed to prepare corrosion inhibitors of carbon steel in acidic media by preparing selenium nanoparticles, attaching them to polymers, and characterizing them using TEM techniques. DLS. Zeta potential. XRD. FT-IR

The study recommended the necessity of expanding future studies and using other types of alloys, as well as using other techniques to study the efficiency of nanoinhibitors, such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) studies.
