The College of Law at the University of Karbala discussed a doctoral thesis entitled (Legal Regulation of Financial Technology in Commercial Finance “A Comparative Study”), submitted by the student Mona Falih Hassan.
The study aimed to shed light on this process, which created a new method of financing based on integrating modern technology into the financing sector.
The study concluded that funding directs emerging projects and institutions and is done through an electronic platform available on the Internet that is used for the purpose of presenting project ideas to people who wish to obtain them.
The study recommended the need for the Iraqi legislator to enact legislation specifically for commercial financing through financial technology and to determine its nature, scope, and effects arising from the relationships of its parties.
