The College of Dentistry at Karbala University, represented by its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Raouf Rashid Al-Taa’mah, participated in the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week activities, which took place in the Umm Abiha Hall at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her). More than one hundred universities from both countries participated.
The event was attended by the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iranian Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, as well as a large number of government officials, presidents of Iraqi and Iranian universities, and deans of colleges.
The activities included the signing of scientific and academic cooperation agreements between Iraqi and Iranian universities, aimed at enhancing joint cooperation in scientific research and academic experience exchange, as well as scholarship programs for undergraduate and graduate studies, particularly within the “Study in Iraq” program.
The activities also included the signing of agreements regarding the possibility of exchanging university professors to conduct joint scientific research, co-supervision, and giving lectures in their areas of specialization, as well as organizing training workshops for faculty members and students. This reflects the commitment of educational institutions in both countries to build bridges of communication to achieve sustainable development.
