The College of Dentistry – Kerbala University organized a field visit to Al-Athar Primary School for Boys in Karbala Governorate, under the auspices of the college’s administration. The delegation consisted of a group of faculty members and students from the college.
The field visit included conducting clinical examinations of the children’s teeth at the school, as well as teaching them the correct brushing technique and the importance of maintaining dental hygiene through an educational awareness lecture that explained the types of foods and drinks beneficial for dental growth, as well as those harmful to teeth that cause cavities. Additionally, gifts were distributed to the children, including toothbrushes and toothpaste specifically for kids.
This visit is part of a series of activities organized by the College of Dentistry at Karbala University that are directly related to community health and safety. It is part of the efforts made by the college administration to engage in community service for the noble Karbala families, as the college, its students, and teaching staff work to promote health awareness in the field of oral and dental health in the community.
