This came in his official speech as a keynote speaker during the session on transforming education during emergencies and crises within the activities of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), held in the Qatari capital, Doha, in the presence of ministers of higher education from participating countries and representatives of the European Union, UNESCO, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the High Commission. for refugee affairs.
He explained that Iraq and its governmental institutions, especially the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, are committed to caring for refugees, displaced persons, and immigrants, providing them with full educational opportunities, and ensuring their constitutional rights to sustainable education, pointing at the same time to Iraq’s readiness and preparedness to cooperate with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and UNESCO for the purpose of activating the agreement to recognize qualifications and join countries. signatory to this international agreement.
