The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Directorate of Civil Defense in the holy city of Karbala, organized a scientific symposium entitled Earthquakes, in which Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Akrouk Ishak and Commissioner Ali Sobeih attended, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists.
The symposium aims to introduce earthquakes and the factors contributing to their occurrence and the most important preventive measures to be taken.
The symposium dealt with the preventive measures that must be taken during earthquakes, whether inside or outside the house or in the external roads and yards, and how to deal with people stuck under the rubble and provide them with assistance until the rescue teams arrive and provide them with the necessary first aid.
