The Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed the continued development of the medical education environment, modernization of assessment tests, and development of the admission policy in the medical group.
This came in his speech during the graduation ceremony of a new batch of students from the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialties in their course entitled (Al-Aqsa Flood), in the presence of the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, a number of parliamentary figures, heads of scientific councils, some university presidents and college deans.
He explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is moving towards developing the medical education environment in Iraq by improving and modernizing the contexts of assessment tests, developing the admission policy to the medical group in the coming years, consolidating documented achievements and indicators in the field of scientific publishing, and strengthening plans, programs and curricula in accordance with scientific developments.
He continued that the Ministry was able to raise the level of performance in its institutions and enhance its competitive capabilities at the national, regional and global levels, in order to raise the ceiling of efficiency and develop outputs in a way that achieves a positive presence in the fields of competition with corresponding global institutions.
For his part, the head of the Iraqi Council for Medical Specialties, Dr. Haider Abdul Hussein, said that the graduation of the thirty-second session represents a continuation of providing society with precise medical specialties, noting at the same time that the direct support from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, was crowned with the Council obtaining training opportunities in the centers. Global Medical Center to enhance knowledge and keep pace with global developments in the medical field.
The graduation ceremony included awarding certificates to graduates and repeating the oath, while the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored a number of former council presidents and top students and urged redoubling efforts, enhancing solidarity responsibility, and paying attention to the quality of medical education and its outcomes, which has become a necessity to keep pace with changes and overcome challenges.
