The College of Science at the University of Karbala organized a training course on the mechanism of operation of the centrifuge and its types, targeting a group of teachers, employees and students of the college.
The three-day course aimed to introduce participants to the working principle of the centrifuge and explain how it developed historically.
The course included explaining the types of centrifuges and their importance, introducing participants to fixed-angle cycles and vertical tube cycles, in addition to introducing them to the advantages and disadvantages of centrifuge types.
The course also touched on explaining the nature of differential and density gradient centrifugation and conducting a practical application inside the laboratory using the centrifuge.
