The Student Activities Division at the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a blood donation campaign within educational medical clinics under the auspices of the Deanship of the College and under the supervision of the main blood bank in the Karbala Health Department and in coordination with the Science and Religion Forum Cultural Foundation in Karbala Governorate, in which a group of faculty and students at the college participated.
The blood donation campaign, which was held under the slogan (And whoever saves a life, it is as if he had saved all mankind) aims to provide the blood necessary to save the lives of sick children who suffer from thalassemia (a hereditary disorder of blood cells) and leukemia (blood cancer). The campaign also aims to establish a culture of volunteer work among The ranks of the college’s members and students by spreading awareness of the importance of donating blood to save the lives of others.
This campaign comes within a group of activities held by the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala, which are directly related to the health and safety of society and is part of the efforts made by the Deanship of the College to engage in community service for the honorable Karbala families.
