The College of Science at the University of Karbala organized an awareness seminar on chemical safety and security presented by Lieutenant Colonel Khudair Abbas and Major Firas Sadiq from the Civil Defense Directorate, with the participation of professors, employees and students of the college.
The symposium aimed to educate participants on how to deal with hazardous materials in educational laboratories.
The symposium included an explanation of the types of hazardous materials and methods of dealing with them, and a detailed explanation of personal protective equipment inside laboratories and research centers. The symposium also witnessed training students on extinguishing fires through the use of different types of fire extinguishers.
