The College of Science at the University of Karbala organized a training course on working on the UV-Vis spectrometer and its applications for graduate and undergraduate students.
The three-day course aimed to introduce graduate and undergraduate students to how to prepare samples for measuring absorption and emission spectra.
The course included an explanation of the mechanism for calculating optical constants using Beer-Lambert’s laws, as well as knowledge of the extent of electromagnetic radiation, the principle of operation of the visible and ultraviolet spectroscopy device, its types, and its most important applications.
