A master’s thesis at the College of Science at the University of Karbala discussed the pre-concentration and quantitative evaluation of chemical pollutants in wastewater by the cloud point extraction method.
The letter submitted by researcher Muhammad Nasser came with the aim of determining the operational effectiveness of the main treatment unit project and the heat treatment unit in Karbala Governorate and knowing the extent of their impact on the quality of wastewater.
The study found an increase in the levels of TDS and EC beyond acceptable limits in wastewater lifting and treatment plants, and an increase in the concentration of chloride and sulfate ions in all lifting and treatment plants.
The letter recommended conducting a periodic study of the concentration rate of trace elements for different periods of time and proposing chemical methods to remove chemical pollutants.
