More than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges have achieved their competitive positions in the webometrics classification in its 2024 edition.
The results of the classification showed that (32,000) university institutions around the world competed according to the indicators of the virtual presence of universities through their locations, measuring the percentage of clarity (50%), transparency (10%), and the strength and excellence of research (40%).
The current version witnessed progress in the ranks of Iraqi universities, as the University of Baghdad came sequentially (1460), then the universities of Diyala, Mustansiriya, Mosul, Kufa, the Middle Euphrates, and other Iraqi universities and colleges indicated by the official website for the classification (https://www.webometrics.info/en/aw/Iraq).
