The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a training course entitled (Root Fillings – Principles and Practices). The target group for the course is fourth- and fifth-year students and recent graduate dentists. The lecture was attended by the teacher, Dr. Alaa Mahdi Muhammad Ali, the teacher, Hamsa Zaki Naji, and the assistant teacher, Zaidoun Hassan Muhammad. .
The aim of the course is to introduce college students to root canal fillings, starting with correct diagnosis, reading diagnostic x-rays, and how to use the tools and materials necessary to perform an integrated root canal.
The course included theoretical lectures on root fillings by professors of the dental treatment branch in the college’s conference hall. The course also included two full days of practical training for students on making root fillings on extracted teeth within the educational medical clinics at the college.
