The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a practical workshop on testing the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics.
The workshop aimed to develop the scientific skills of postgraduate students on the problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, and the necessity of diagnosing bacteria as sensitive or resistant to the antibiotics used to treat them.
The workshop included a detailed explanation of the bacterial diagnosis procedure (ID) at the species level, and the importance of performing an AST test to identify sensitive or resistant bacteria.
