The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, chaired the regular meeting of the Education, Youth and Sports Committee emanating from the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council.
The members of the committee discussed during the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Education, the head of the body of advisors, and representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, the secretariat of the Joint Coordinating Council, and the rapporteur of the Education, Youth and Sports Committee.
The attendees reviewed the areas of cooperation at the level of programs in the fields of higher education, scientific research, education, youth, and sports, especially with regard to scholarships provided by the two countries, visiting professors, joint supervision, training of staff, digitization of curricula, and preparing students and their scientific, educational, and sports programs.
The meeting concluded by recommending that its outcomes be submitted to the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council to be embodied within the joint work space and to crystallize bilateral cooperation programmes.
