The College of Science at the University of Karbala organized an in-person training workshop on drugs, the scourge of society, for undergraduate students in the halls of the college departments.
The workshop aimed to clarify the role of the Iraqi legislator in combating narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The workshop included defining the crime of drug dealing in terms of its definition, elements, responsibility for its commission, and an explanation of the most important penalties set by law for each type of drug dealing, as well as how to prevent the risk of addiction by focusing on the psychological, social and economic factors that drive people To drug use and to raise awareness among university students about the dangers of addiction from the health, psychological, economic, social and legal aspects.
