First-year student Haider Raed Al-Mahdawi from the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the University of Karbala, first-year morning study, won second place over Iraq in the sixth national Qur’anic competition for recitation, memorization and interpretation.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Abboud Al-Taie, praised the student’s achievement, calling at the same time for the need to pay attention to extracurricular activities in all fields, especially the culture of enlightenment with the Qur’an, reading, and intonation among students.
