A master’s thesis at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala discussed a recommendation system based on opinion mining using machine learning techniques.
The study, presented by the student Amna Nahed Abdel Amir, aimed to alleviate the user cold-start problem, reduce the sparsity problem, and enhance the performance of the proposed model.
The study found that integrating recommendation systems and sentiment analysis techniques has a significant impact on improving the performance of the recommendation system and increasing accuracy.
The study recommended the necessity of using text data or text reviews and benefiting from them in the recommendation process.
