The awareness course organized at the College of Law at the University of Karbala on the problem of electronic blackmail and ways to address it was concluded, with the participation of a number of college employees and teachers.
The course aimed to educate participants about the dangers of the crime of electronic blackmail and its harm to segments of society, as well as to increase their legal culture on how to confront such a negative phenomenon.
The course explained the concept of electronic blackmail, which means using technological methods through social media to violate the privacy of individuals or companies by accessing information, photos, audio or video clips of great importance to the victim.
The course recommended the need to avoid opening links from unknown sources. So that the user does not become a victim of electronic hacking of his confidential data and files.
