The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a workshop entitled (Green Education and Ways to Transform into a Green, Environmentally Friendly University) in conjunction with National Planting Day in the College’s Continuing Education Hall. Assistant lecturer Aseel Abdel-Rida Shalabh lectured in the presence of a group of employees and teachers at the college.
The workshop aims to highlight the importance of the role of universities in achieving sustainable development and preserving the environment by applying green education strategies that include environmental programs, afforestation, and services, in addition to practical educational techniques and applications related to the concept of green education.
The workshop included introducing attendees to how to strive to transform Iraqi universities into green, environmentally friendly universities by urging students and all members of the college to participate in issues of sustainability, environmental protection, afforestation, and working to reduce emissions of hazardous gases in universities, in addition to waste recycling and other aspects related to environmental preservation. .
