The College of Law at the University of Karbala organized a seminar on the legal protection of public domain works.
The symposium aimed to introduce intellectual property rights in general, and then explain the nature of public domain works and the most prominent risks and attacks to which they may be exposed, exploiting and distorting them.
The symposium recommended the necessity of protecting intellectual property, whether through documentation or judicial protection. This is because it may affect, in one way or another, the intellectual heritage of Iraqi society.
