▪️The International Atomic Energy Agency has expressed its support for the zero-sum nuclear reactor project in Iraq for the purpose of training and educational research, and we are working to establish a research nuclear reactor to treat cancer cases.
▪️Since we assumed the ministry, we have worked to develop university education paths related to the student, the educational system, and the professor.
▪️ The Bologna Pathway is an important gateway to the labor market, and we have succeeded in implementing it in technical universities and colleges of engineering and science.
Graduates of colleges accredited on the Bologna Process will have their certificates accredited in European countries.
▪️ We are continuing to update the curricula and have formed a higher committee to keep pace with scientific development and specialized changes in the world.
▪️We work according to the state’s perspective and do not pay attention to political bias. We have taken the scientific and academic context as a basis for managing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
▪️ The financial challenge in the Ministry of Education’s budget does not justify not formulating opportunities, providing solutions, and contributing to development projects.
▪️Education funds are necessary for the survival and sustainability of the educational institution, and in 2030 we will receive one million students.
▪️The development of universities is linked to the readiness and availability of human and material resources.
▪️Some budget items gave positive scope for partnership with the private sector to establish universities with the aim of reducing the effects of population growth and absorbing the demand for higher education institutions.
▪️The Study in Iraq program opened the door to attract international students of different nationalities, and currently there are 1,015 foreign students studying in Iraqi universities in various specializations.
▪️ The General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, which was held in Baghdad, was a qualitative event and represented a moment of pride for the Arab academic delegations and received great praise.
▪ Our quick measures in the incident at the College of Computer Science were to seize the cameras, withdraw the dean’s hand, and form an investigative committee. The recommendations will be a deterrent, up to the point of removing the employee from service.
▪ We must preserve the values and morals of society and protect the educational environment. We have formed a higher committee linked to the minister to follow up on universities, increase the momentum of awareness, and confront blackmail.
▪ We support respectable graduation ceremonies and are not concerned with graduation practices that offend modesty outside universities.
▪ I will not make an exception regarding averages and grades… Competition for admission to universities will be based on merit and fairness.
