He discussed a doctoral thesis at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala, evaluating the preventive role of some nanovitamins in suppressing oxidative stress caused by the action of the drug cimetidine on some reproductive parameters in white male rats, submitted by researcher Maitham Ali Karim.
The thesis aimed to evaluate the protective role of vitamins C and E and their nanoparticles and investigate their role against possible physiological and histological changes in some organs of the male reproductive system of albino rats treated with cimetidine.
The thesis included a study of the effect of oxidative stress induced by the drug cimetidine on body weight and reproductive organs.
The study recommended the necessity of taking advantage of the preventive role of vitamins C and E to reduce the side effects of cimetidine, especially for people who are treated with it.
