A doctoral thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed the dictionary of language, grammar, morphology, parsing, and scientific, philosophical, legal, and modern terminology, “Laghrid Sheikh Muhammad – Between Tradition and Innovation,” submitted by researcher Zeina Jouda Hussein.
The study aimed to explore the development and innovation in dictionary making, and sheds light on how modern scientific, philosophical, and legal words and terms have developed.
The study concluded that language, especially Arabic, is a living organism characterized by movement and fluctuation, and cannot remain stable or stagnant.
The study showed that working on preparing an electronic dictionary is one of the major achievements of this era.
The study recommended the importance of taking advantage of contemporary technology to facilitate searching for words in the fastest time and with the least effort.
