The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a course entitled (Developing Administrative and Legal Skills for College Members) in the College’s Continuing Education Hall, in which the teacher, Fadel Nima Shalabh, the assistant teacher, Haider Nihad Abdel Hamid, and Mr. Muhannad Qasim Kazem, lectured, in the presence of a group of faculty and staff at the college.
The course aims to provide administrative and legal education for college employees, especially new employees, so that they know their duties and rights, as well as clarifying the difference between a manager and a leader in dealing with employees.
The course included two main axes. The first is the administrative axis to explain and clarify the most important administrative instructions and controls, with a focus on the educational aspect of the administrative axis to create a successful educational administrative family that loves work and seeks to make the work of the educational institution successful. The second axis is the legal axis regarding the Civil Service Law and the details of promotions. Promotions, bonuses, etc.
The course recommended the need to pay attention to the moral and humanitarian aspects of dealing with employees in parallel with the administrative and legal aspects. The course also recommended that every administrator in the college be a leader in his field of work rather than a manager.
