The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (Study of the antagonistic activity of biosynthetic nanocomposites in bacteria isolated from aborted women suffering from urinary tract infections), submitted by student Zainab Adwan Tohme.

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the green nanocomposite on some bacterial species isolated from pregnant and aborted women with urinary tract infections.

The study recommended the necessity of conducting periodic examinations for pregnant women due to the possibility of them being exposed to asymptomatic inflammation that leads to miscarriage, and emphasizing the treatment of cases of chronic urinary tract infection before pregnancy.
