Student Maryam Ahmed, in the fifth stage at the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala, participated in her graduation research for the current academic year 2023-2024, entitled (Oral complications in patients receiving chemotherapy) in the twenty-fourth international scientific conference, which was held by the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad.
The research aims to find out the side effects that appear in the mouth during the use of chemotherapy. The research recommended the necessity of having a preventive dentist within the staff of doctors treating cancer diseases to follow the necessary preventive measures to ensure the patient’s oral and dental health before, during and after the use of chemotherapy in order to reduce its oral complications.
