The College of Dentistry at Karbala University conducted a workshop titled (Publicity in the Speeches of the Fatimid Era and Its Role in Event-Making), presented by Assistant Lecturer Hanan Marzouk Shadhan in the Continuing Education Hall, with the attendance of a group of staff and faculty members.
The workshop aimed to introduce the attendees to the Fatimid state and the mechanisms of publicity used by the Fatimid orator to announce the state’s vision and disseminate its ideology to persuade the other side and support its cause, as well as to create acceptance of his idea and refute the opponent’s discourse.
The workshop included an introduction to the term publicity and its role in convincing society, as well as an explanation of the most important mechanisms and strategies employed by the Fatimid orator in Egypt and Morocco to express his intentions, such as emphasizing obedience, praise, and reverence for the Fatimid state, and using methods of force to compel opponents and force them to accept his idea using intimidation, threat, and warning techniques.
