The Technology Incubation Unit at the College of Dentistry at Karbala University organized a workshop titled “Digital Entrepreneurship, Technological Projects, and Artificial Intelligence” as part of the closing activities for Global Entrepreneurship Week. The workshop featured presentations by Assistant Lecturer Asil Abdul-Ridha Shalba and Assistant Programmer Haneen Rida Khamees in the Continuing Education Hall, attended by a group of staff and faculty.
The workshop targeted students and graduates to introduce them to the concept of digital entrepreneurship and the types of technological projects associated with artificial intelligence, which have garnered widespread interest and readiness for adoption and support from the Ministry of Higher Education through its Entrepreneurship Initiative.
The workshop included an introduction to digital technology and the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, as well as clarifications on machine learning and its applications, neural networks, and deep learning, with practical examples of digital projects, in addition to discussing the challenges and ethics of using AI technology.
The workshop concluded with a call for attendees to engage in digital entrepreneurship and to establish technological projects, educating participants on the latest developments in artificial intelligence and digital technology, and empowering them to understand and apply practical applications to improve productivity in government institutions, highlighting its significant importance in keeping pace with global advancements and achieving this goal through Iraqi universities with support from the ministry.
