The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala organized awareness and education campaigns through a field visit to a number of families in the Freiha area in the holy city of Karbala, accompanied by the Mukhtar of the Freiha area / 2 Mr. Falah Hassan Shaalan. It was carried out by a number of third-stage students in the college and under the direct supervision of the associated committee To work with the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the college.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, said within the framework of scientific activities and in continuation of her approach and continuous work to contribute to providing the best community services to spread awareness among members of society, the Women Empowerment Unit was launched in our college and in cooperation with the departments of continuing education and student activities in the college.
She added that the campaign included a field tour, giving a scientific lecture, distributing awareness-raising brochures about foot-and-mouth disease, examining animals in the area, and the need to adhere to preventive instructions by informing the competent veterinary authorities in the governorate in the event of clinical symptoms appearing on the animal, as well as the possibility of examining animals and providing veterinary medical advice. With the provision of free treatment when visiting the veterinary medical treatment unit located in the branches of internal medicine and veterinary surgery and obstetrics in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala.
