The Association of Arab Universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Amman expressed its thanks and appreciation to the member of the Executive Council
President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Al-Saidi, for his efforts to make the Executive Council meeting a success, which was hosted by the Universities of (Sousse and Monastir) in Tunisia last month.
The Secretary-General of the Federation, Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, said in a letter addressed to the President of the University, in which he stated: “The family of the General Secretariat of the Federation expresses, at the conclusion of the Executive Council meetings that were held in hosting the Universities of Sousse and Monastir in Tunisia, abundant thanks and great appreciation to your honorable person for the efforts that you have made to provide The reasons for the success of the council meetings, with your honorable representation of your esteemed university, wishing you good health and wellness.
Prof. Dr. Basem Khalil Al-Saeedi stated: “The meeting discussed accepting the accession of four Iraqi universities to the federation, and launching the Arab classification of Arab universities.”
Al-Saeedi added: “Scientific cooperation between universities and the launch of the King Fahd University competition were discussed, and modern learning methods were presented and discussed. The meeting also included a presentation by the Egyptian and Tunisian ministers on the role of universities in serving society and clarifying learning methods.”
It is noteworthy that the Association of Arab Universities decided in April of 2021 to choose the President of Karbala University, Professor Dr. Basem Khalil Al-Saidi, as a member and representative of Iraq in the Executive Council of the Union over the fifty-third and fifty-fourth sessions to represent Iraqi educational institutions.
