The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, stressed the achievement of the highest level of scientific and educational services in universities, the awareness industry and the prevention of the risks of ignorance.
This came in his speech during the Al-Jarh Festival, which was held by the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, where he expressed his confidence that the environment of Iraqi universities, which hosts more than a million students and includes more than fifty-five thousand teachers with scientific titles, is worthy of specific community service tasks because it responds in all circumstances in an appropriate manner. It is thoughtful about changes and faces challenges by adapting and keeping pace with development and subjecting its curricula and academic programs to review and modernization.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirms on every occasion that the responsibility of universities, colleges and their scientific centers is evident in identifying with society’s issues and trends in order to achieve the highest level of scientific and educational services responsible for creating awareness and paying the risks of ignorance.
The festival included a speech by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Antid Al-Asadi, and chants for the choir of the College of Fine Arts on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and an art exhibition that included thirty plastic paintings, while the activities concluded with the term play presented by artists, teachers and students.
