More than “65” Arab and foreign students, within the “Study in Iraq” educational initiative recently launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, applied to study at the University of Karbala for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.
The Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the University of Karbala, Dr. Haider Muhammad Omran, said that the university has allocated (199) seats distributed among the university’s faculties for scientific and human specializations, indicating that the university has received more than (65) applications so far, and it is hoped that the numbers will increase in the coming days. coming.
Omran added: “The applications received by the university came from Asia, Africa and Europe, as well as from Arab countries.
He explained that the university will ensure the provision of housing and health insurance for students admitted to it, stressing the importance of this step in achieving scientific and cultural exchange between countries.
In mid-March, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched the “Study in Iraq” initiative, with the aim of raising the ranking of Iraqi universities within the international rankings.
