The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with the Council of Al-Nahrain University and discussed scientific twinning programs, updating curricula and the positive indicators achieved within the Study in Iraq project.
The meeting was attended by the President of the University, Dr. Ali Abdel Aziz Al-Shawi, the assistant deans, the deans of the faculties of law, medicine, engineering, science, political science, information engineering, business economics, biotechnology, pharmacy, the Higher Institute for Infertility Diagnosis and Assisted Reproductive Technologies, the directors of the Biotechnology Research Center and DNA for Research and Training, and Al-Nahrain Research for Renewable Energy Representative of the Academic Union.
The Minister of Education affirmed that the Ministry and its specialized committees are continuing to complete the required modernization of the curricula according to a well-thought-out plan and timings that take into account the policy of the educational institution and its academic programs in all disciplines in accordance with the foreseeable shift to the Bologna track, referring at the same time to projects of cooperation and coordination with international institutions, organizations and universities to develop paths of international partnership and twinning. The Minister of Education listened to a number of proposals and recommendations made by members of the Council of Al-Nahrain University in light of the scientific requirements drawn by the determinants of quality and academic accreditation.
