The President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Al-Saidi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, represented the opening of the international scientific conference organized by the Foundation for Inheritors of the Prophets for Specialized Studies in the Husseini Renaissance under the slogan (Orientalism and Imam Hussein, peace be upon him), with a religious, official, academic and popular presence from inside and outside Iraq Today, Friday, in the holy shrine of Al-Husseini.
In a speech he delivered during the opening, the university president said, “The culture of reform carried out by Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, has become a general culture for every people and for every age, because it was within what came in the Holy Qur’an, so when we talk about Imam Hussein bin Abi Talib, peace be upon them, we do not talk.” It is about an ordinary person who lived and then died without having a trace in this life. Rather, we are talking about a holy personality who soared in the sky of glory and greatness, until it reached the highest ranks and the highest station. No one preceded it and no one will follow it later in all virtues, feats, virtues and honors. It is the great personality that represents The natural extension of the line of prophecy and the message in the land, and it is the infallible personality that guides to the one who is the most upright. Among people, he was determined to die and underestimated life in order for the banner of truth to rise and the word of God to be supreme on earth.”
He continued, “The Husayni Revolution is a bountiful tree that bears fruit since its emergence and throughout history, and the secret hidden in this bright eternity is that it exceeded the familiar boundaries of human movements, revolutions and revivals, as it is a comprehensive revolution that reflects in its components and repercussions the various aspects of background, behavioral, cultural and social life. It is not surprising Studying its elements that contributed to the formation of this comprehensive system, as we rarely find a human revolution at the level of changing systems of government or social conditions that is concerned with adherence to values and defense of principles.
Emphasizing on, “The revolution of Imam Hussein (PBUH) was not an emotional revolution, nor a random movement that lacked clarity in vision or shortcomings in defining goals and objectives, but rather it was a conscious revolution with its clear vision and specific goals, which he revealed in the first of his related statements.” When he said, peace be upon him, (I did not go out to be evil, arrogant, corrupt, or oppressive, but rather I went out to seek reform in the nation of my grandfather.
Al-Saeedi continued, “The Husseini revolution represented a human gift from which Muslims and non-Muslims learned, and many books on the revolution of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his sacrifices point to this, and the Imam’s revolution represents a turning point not only in the Islamic nation but also in all human life, as the human dimension is clear It is one of the dimensions of the Husayni revolution, which aimed to remove injustice from man and liberate him from fear and oppression practiced by the rulers of the Umayyads.
He recalled, “The greats of mankind, its thinkers, and its politicians were affected by the personality of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his fragrant biography, because they found in his revolution the absolute rejection of political, social, economic, ethnic, and tribal injustice, and they touched in his liberation movement human dignity, intellectual freedom, social justice, and religious tolerance, because this revolution gave honorable lessons about sacrifice in The path of Islamic values and loyalty to human principles, and accordingly, writing about Hussein (pbuh) is renewable and it is like a sea whose flow never ends and its giving does not dry up as long as the peoples of the earth remain.
