A British study jokingly confirms that a “tough boss or a bad job” may play a role in employee overweight.
The researchers found that employees who are having a bad day at work are more likely to eat junk food and sweets, unlike their counterparts who are having a good day at work as they tend to eat healthy, low-calorie meals.
The study, which included 2,000 employees, revealed that the mood at work affects the type of food eaten by 77% of the research sample, and revealed that 54% of them change their decision to eat healthy food because their mood at work is affected.
Eating fast food and sweets during working hours is also due to work pressure, as most of those surveyed confirmed that they eat lunch at their desks three times a week, as eating fast food only takes an average of six minutes, according to the study.
Not only does fast food affect health, it also affects the budget, as the average of what these people spend reaches $ 350 annually.
