A new study found that drinking water can increase brain speed by 14%.
And the British newspaper (Daily Mail) reported that researchers at the University of “East London” that water can sharpen the work of the brain, and this is evident when a person is thirsty.
And the researchers conducted their study on 34 men and women who completed a number of mental tests twice, the first after eating whole grain cereals for breakfast, and the second after eating these chips and drinking water.
None of the test subjects ate or drank at night, and they were asked how thirsty they first felt.
And it turned out that those who said that they do not feel thirsty, their speed in the test was the same with or without drinking water, while those who said they were thirsty increased their speed in the test by 14% after drinking water.
Scientists say they think water helps release parts of the brain that are busy “informing” the body of thirst.
