It was found that wet dates contain a substance that astringent the uterus, similar to oxytocin, so eating dates helps the fetus exit and reduces bleeding after childbirth, since dates contain blood pressure preservatives, this also helps reduce bleeding, as well as the labor process is stressful, which requires energy, and dates are rich in sugar that gives this energy .
As for the vitamin A that dates contain, it helps growth and prevents asha (night blindness) and helps the skin and the soft, moist membranes that line the nose and throat to remain healthy.

On the authority of the Messenger of God (may God bless him and his family): (Eat dates on an empty stomach, for it kills worms in the stomach).
And he (may God bless him and his family) said: (He who eats dates of ajwa in the morning will not be harmed by poison or magic that day).
