More than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges achieved competitive results in the global Web Matrix rankings in the first half of the year 2023.
And (11993) university institutions around the world competed according to the indicators that measure the virtual presence of universities through their locations, indicating the clarity rate (50%), transparency (10%), and the strength and excellence of research (40%). The University of Baghdad came in sequence (1561), then it was followed by the universities of Diyala And Al-Mustansiriya, Mosul, Babel, Basra, Qadisiyah, Kufa, Technology, Anbar, Middle Euphrates Technical and other Iraqi universities and colleges indicated by the official website of the classification (https://www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq) of the Supreme Center for Scientific Research in Spain.
It is worth noting that Iraqi universities and colleges record their increasing competition in international rankings, including the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, in which the University of Baghdad appeared within the chemical engineering major, the (The Times) classification, in which eight universities are located, and the (QS) classification, in which there are five universities. Universities and (Scimago) classification, in which twenty-two institutions are located, and (Greenmetric) classification, in which seventy-three Iraqi universities and colleges have entered, and the URA classification, in which four Iraqi universities are present, in addition to the (Webometrics) classification, which records the attendance and competition of more than one hundred Iraqi universities and colleges.
