One of the most important things that the patient may feel before the ulceration appears is a burning or tingling sensation 2-48 hours before the ulceration.
A white bump surrounded by a red halo with well-defined edges. This is often the description of a small ulcer, which increases in size in the first 48 hours.
The number of small ulcers in the mouth may reach 6, often appearing above the mucous membranes that are not keratinized, superficial, less than 10 mm in size, round or oval in shape, often painful.
The healing process takes place from 7 to 14 days, and the rate of recurrence is not known precisely and may recur several times a year.
