In Pakistan to enroll as a student or resident in a postgraduate orthodontic course accredited by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, the dentist must graduate with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or equivalent. The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has a recognized program in Orthodontics [40] as Master of Orthodontics and Orthodontics (MDS) and Orthodontics as a 4-year postgraduate programme, the latter being conducted by CPSP Pakistan.
