Tooth decay, also known as dental caries or dental cavities, is the erosion of teeth due to acids produced by bacteria.[1] Because of bad habits, including a lot of eating sweets and not cleaning the teeth regularly, and this leads to the accumulation of bacterial waste and thus the formation of caries, which is known in English as Caries. The cavities may be a number of different colors from yellow to black.[2] Symptoms may include pain and difficulty eating.[2][3] Complications may include inflammation of the tissues around the tooth, tooth loss, and infection or abscess formation.[2][4]
