If you are breast-feeding your baby, his stools may be yellow, soft and sometimes lumpy.
If your baby is formula-fed, his stools will turn brown and have a thicker consistency.
If there is a change like:
Frequency: If your baby poops several times a day, he or she has diarrhea.
Volume: Diarrhea means that the nappy will be fuller than usual.
Consistency: If the stool is very runny, you may even have to change his clothes along with the nappies.
Color and smell: If your baby is suffering from diarrhoea, the color and smell of the stool may change as well. Diarrhea can turn the stool green and the smell may be difficult to tolerate.
