The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed a doctoral dissertation titled (Quality of Life in the City of Karbala, “A Study of Urban Development Indicators”).
The study dealt with the reality of the quality of urban life in the holy city of Karbala for the year 2020 AD, according to urban development indicators, “residential, economic and community”.
The study aimed to introduce the concepts of quality of life, while shedding light on the most important urban development indicators that contribute to achieving quality of life, with their conformity with international indicators.
The importance of the study comes from being a basis upon which the urban development process can be based in the city of Karbala in the light of diagnosing the housing, economic and social conditions in it.
The study reached several conclusions, including that the concept of quality of life can be considered an evaluation concept with comparative dimensions of comparison and distinction between cities that have come a long way in development and actual development.
