Orthodontic brackets are the main tools used in orthodontics that move teeth over time and bring them into the correct position.
The bracket consists of two main components, the orthodontic wire and the abutment, which are placed over the teeth during the bonding process and transmit pressure force to the teeth. Brackets usually have one or two grooves through which the orthodontic wire is passed and placed in the proper location determined by the orthodontist.
