A PhD thesis in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala discussed the estimation of the stress strength reliability of multicomponents using some alpha force distributions with a practical application.
The study came with the aim of a new probability distribution by using the alpha power transformation to obtain a more flexible distribution in the modeling of real stress data, finding the characteristics of the proposed distribution, estimating parameters, obtaining an estimate of the reliability function, and knowing the reliability of the electrical cable manufacturing devices in the Ur General Company for the manufacture of electrical wires.
The study titled “Estimating the Stress Reliability of Strength for Multicomponents Using Some Alpha Force Distributions with a Practical Application” by student Zainab Kazem Muzher Al-Quraishi included the adoption of the simulation method, which is distributed according to the used distributions (exponential distribution and Pareto distribution) using different values of the random strength and stress parameters and with sample sizes different m) for stress and n for toughness) using the Monte Carlo method).
The thesis concluded that the Shrinkage Method, which relies on prior information about the parameters as initial values in the estimation process, is better than other estimation methods that depend on the information of the observed sample only to estimate the reliability of the system s out of k in the case of stress and durability.
The study recommended the adoption of the Bayes Approach to estimate the reliability of the system s out of k in the case of stress and durability and apply it practically Manufacture of cables to obtain sufficient experience by preparing a quarterly plan to manage the additional working hours, which cause mechanical stress on the system components, which leads to frequent breaks.
