But before you contact the orthodontist, your problem is really an emergency, you should know the following. In fact, there are some cases that are considered an orthodontic emergency:
Trauma or damage to the mouth or face
Inflammation and redness of the gums and advanced and unusual face.
Severe, progressive, uncontrollable pain in the mouth and teeth.
If you see any of the above, immediately make an appointment with your orthodontist. When you visit an orthodontist’s office, the orthodontist will check if you have a broken tooth right away and fix it in the same session. Damage to the fixed or removable orthodontic bracket is reviewed and repaired during the same session.
